Easter is less than a month away and it is that joyous time of year when we are allowed to stuff our faces with chocolate.
To get in the spirit of the Easter holidays this 2017, listed below are five awesome things to do in London at Easter.
1. The Passion of Jesus in Trafalgar Square
Visit Trafalgar Square on Good Friday – the 14th April – to see a spectacular production titled, The Passion of Jesus.
This free event for Easter in London has a cast of over 100 actors and volunteers, along with horses, donkeys and doves.
Watch as the cast, dressed in fantastic costumes, act out the crucifixion and events leading up to the day now known as Easter Sunday.
Catch either the 12pm or 3:15pm performance, the duration of which takes 90 minutes. There will be screens so that everyone can have a clear view of the performance at this London Easter event.
2. Easter Family Fun at Hampton Court Palace
Ideas for Easter activities include a visit to Hampton Court Palace – a trip that the whole family will enjoy over the Easter break, between the 1st and the 17th April, this Easter 2017.
While the adults can admire the regal furnishings of the palace and the delightful gardens, children can scamper round finding all of the hidden bunnies. Once all the rabbits have been found, the children will be rewarded with a delicious Lindt chocolate treat.
Be sure not to miss out on the Magic Garden maze! Who will win making it to the end of the maze first?
Activities will also be held on the day for children to take part in, such as decorating your own chocolate cup.
3. Moomin Adventures
For any of you Moomin fans out there, make your way down to London at Easter and visit Kew Gardens to take part in the Moomin trail and Easter workshop, open from Saturday 1st April – Monday 17th April, between the hours of 10:30am and 4pm.
From arts and crafts to trying out the favoured Moomins’ pancakes, there will be plenty of activities for Easter to see and do at the Kew Gardens.
For those of you who are wondering what to do on Easter Sunday in London, at Kew Gardens, Lindt chocolate treats will be given out to guests arriving on Easter.
4. Robin Hill Country Park – Mad Easter Egg Dash
If you’re still stuck on ideas on what to do in London on Easter Sunday, then at Robin Hill Country Park, on the 16th and 17th April, the ‘Mad Easter Egg Dash‘ will be taking place, which will be included in your entry admission price on the day.
There will be two different Easter hunts, the ‘Little People’s Dash‘ starting at 12pm for any kids under the age of 6, then the ‘Big Kids Dash‘ starting at three. The Easter Bunny and Squark Bird will be making an appearance to help out with the Easter Egg hunt. Different size eggs will be given out to the kids as prizes at these Easter events.
Meanwhile, for people who want a chance to get their hands on a Frequent Visitors Ticket for a family of four, or other exciting prizes, an Easter Quest will be on during the Easter holidays, every day except Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
5. Easter Chocolate Workshop
If there is one thing you can guarantee, it is that everyone loves chocolate, which is why you need to take part in one of the best Easter events in London, at My Chocolate in De Beauvoir Town.
Take part in their chocolate making workshop this year and get a chance to build your own tasty, chocolate creations. From massive flat Easter eggs, to delicious, squashed Easter Bunnies, there is an endless amount of fun and yummy possibilities at this Easter event in London.
