2017 is nearly here which is why here at Minibus Shuttle, we thought we would inform you of all the awesome events going on in London.
For those of us who aren’t suffering from hangovers or still drunk on New Year’s Day, there is plenty going on in London to keep you busy seeing in 2017.
Here is out list of the top 10 new year’s day 2017 events in London.
1. Serpentine New Year’s Day 10k and 3k Fun Run
For any of you who are setting yourself the traditional New Year’s resolution to get fit and healthy after eating all of those mince pies, then you will be interested to hear that the Serpentine running club are holding their traditional New Year’s Day run which the public can enter.
There are two Serpentine club runs to choose from:
3K Fun Run – While the 3K run has already sold out, any cheer and support is welcome; the race starts at 12pm.
10K Run – The 10K run is being held in Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens at 11am, both starting and finishing near the Boathouse (west of Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland).
The 10K run tickets are £17 for members of the EA, WA and SA, or the standard ticket price is £19.
For any of you who want to enter, apply online for this enjoyable running experience!
2. The Seven Noses of Soho New Year’s Day Pub Special
If you aren’t suffering from a hangover from the New Year’s Eve partying, then why not join this popular pub special tour (or for those of you with kids, or who are suffering from a hangover, there is a family friendly option).
As the legend goes, anyone who sees the seven noses of Soho, will receive infinite wealth. However, even if this legend is not true, at least you can say that you have visited each of these seven noses which is an awesome achievement!

4. The Sherlock Holmes Experience
As many of you may know, the fourth season of BBC’s Sherlock will be out in January, so to prepare you for this exciting premier, Madame Tussauds has created you a Sherlock Holmes experience.
Down where the Chamber of Horrors was once hidden is Sherlock’s drawing room, along with a Victorian street lit with lamps.
5. London by Night Christmas Lights Open Top Bus Tour on New Year’s Day
Snatch up this opportunity to go on a journey around London on an open top bus tour on New Years day.

7. New Year’s Day Gala
For anyone who enjoys the sound of classical music, then you mustn’t miss out on this traditional New Year’s Day Gala!
London’s Concert Orchestra will be putting on a beautiful performance to welcome 2017, performing the lighthearted music from Bizets The Pearl Fishers, some New Year’s Day favourites, along with a few unforgettable songs, such as Debussy’s Clair de Lune.
Ticket prices for this event range from £19.50-45 along with a booking fee of £3 if it is through an online transaction or £4 by phone.
8. New Year’s Day Parade in London
As always, don’t miss London’s New Year’s Day parade as it is an event sure to entertain you!
From cheerleaders to historic vehicles, trundling down the central streets of London, there will be plenty to see!
2017’s parade is said to be a colourful celebration, sticking to the theme “Lights, Camera, Action.” Not only will there be some contemporary performances to watch, but there will also be some traditional ceremonies to enjoy.
The performance will be taking place from Green Park Tube Station at 12pm, down to Parliament Square around 3:30pm, going through Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall, Trafalgar Square and Whitehall.
9. Old Skool Sundays – NYD Bank Holiday Special
If you don’t want the New Year’s celebrations to end, then why not visit Old Skool Sundays at the Far Rockaway.
If you enjoy everything nostalgic, then at 6:00pm join in for the bank holiday special.
Old Skool Sunday’s provide the perfect mix of 90s themed TV, reasonably priced food and silly games such as Twister and air hockey (and there are even cocktails)!

10. Sights and Sounds of London on New Year’s Day
On this four-hour journey, you will be travelling around London at 10am to take in the beautiful and peaceful views.
While travelling past Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, the Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and many other famous London hot spots, with the help of a professional and entertaining tour guide you will be learning about the rich history of London.
